The Lecco train station is not too far from the Politecnico (see path on the map) and for people coming with their car we have a map with near parking lots available.
For buses we have the urban lines 3, 5 and 8 and you can get to the event by bike too, by a bike path very close to the Politecnico.
If you plan to fly, the closest airports are Orio al Serio (BG), Linate (MI) and Malpensa (MI).
