Hello,

unfortunately the moment we were afraid would come has come and we are forced to cancel ItLUG Lecco 2020. During these hard months, well aware that the real priorities were somewhere else, we kept in costant touch with our partners and with the Politecnico that always supported us through the years with the event. The cancellation comes after a careful evaluation of the situation and after talking with our partners, mainly the Politecnico where the event would have taken place. Maybe in August there will be no restricions anymore and gatherings will be allowed and safe, but since we have to decide now we have to judge the current situation in Lombardy and right now it’s not possible to consider proceeding with the event.

We’re sorry to interrupt our long tradition, but we believe that the reasons behind the decisions are solid and all we can do right now is saying that we hope we’ll see you in 2021!

As you might have noticed, ItLUG Lecco 2020 is still officially scheduled for this August. Soon we will have to decide what to do and as soon as we will, of course we’ll warn or registered AFOLs. To be honest we believe it’s quite unlikely that the event will happen, but since we have no expenses for now and no one’s losing any money, we’ll try and wait a little longer, to see how the situation evolves. Who knows, maybe it’ll get better, hope is very important to get through times like this! Of course we don’t need to suggest not to book anything (unless fully refundable).
